Michael Dumas’ still-life painting Quiescence won Best Outdoor Still Life in the April/May 2019 session of the PleinAir Salon competition. Quiesence is an original oil painting measuring 8.25 x 10.25 inches commissioned by Picture This Gallery.

The PleinAir Salon competition is an online art competition put on by PleinAir Salon Magazine in six two-month sessions every year. It is done in the spirit of the French Salon of the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and designed to promote artistic growth and inspiration. Although Quiescence is not a plein air painting, it is eligible as studio work in several categories of the competition.

The Best Outdoor Still Life award is a testament to the artistic ability of Michael Dumas and Picture This Gallery is proud to represent his work.
