Tanya Jean Peterson was born in Oakville, Ontario in 1983 and spent her childhood growing up in the beautiful town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. With a cultural centre as her backdrop, Tanya was able to draw from her own creativity at an early age. Embracing a close relationship with fine arts she soon developed a style of her own. In April of 2006 graduated from the Toronto School of Art. Experimenting with a large variety of subjects and materials, she received numerous accolades for her commission pieces. As she focuses mainly on oil paintings and sculpture, she challenges herself by pushing towards new heights of expression.

Having moved back to her home town after extensive traveling abroad, there will be endless inspiration for many years to come.
