“I’ve always enjoyed painting the ‘real life’, such as this barnyard scene which is typical of many rural farms with old rustic barns but newer modern equipment. A small but mighty little Farm-all tractor, all done with the summer planting and mowing, sits waiting and ready for the plowing of snow and the chores of winter. To achieve the detail I wanted in capturing the rustic barn wood, yet maintain the detail in the tractor I chose acrylic paint because of the versatility in the medium.”
