“Artists find inspiration everywhere in this “wonderful world.” And for me, the backroads of Alberta render some of the most interesting painting material. And I especially like the areas east and north of Edmonton, where farmers have left their abandoned buildings more or less intact—-a testimony to an earlier, tougher time and the memories it forever saves in wood and bricks. This barn and the house nearby are exquisite examples of this tribute to the past.”
