“On a recent road trip through Alberta, we hit a rainstorm that rivalled anything we experienced in Baja. We slowed the van to 40 miles per hour and still it was hard to see ahead more than a few yards. We were almost ready to pull off the highway when as suddenly as it began the storm passed. The sky opened up and before us was the most breathtaking landscape all around us. This painting is a humble attempt to convey this experience.”
