Artwork Description
This painting was the result of a 4 day canoe trip on Kootenay Lake. The location that inspired this work was the west shore of Crawford Bay. The outcrop of rocky shores with the blue mountains cascading down the lake made for the prefect backdrop for a lone Douglas Fur that had somehow managed to take root and flourish despite its inhospitable location. After we set up camp our group gathered on the rock to watch the sun set and basked in the rewards of an other day of paddling done.
