Artwork Description
One of my passions as an artist is exploring the back roads of the prairies and discovering beauty down every one of them. And to come upon a cluster of wooden buildings, some of our only remaining contacts with the past – is a pleasure often unrivaled. And they are all different, representing the early farmers’ concepts of functionality first and possibly beauty as well. I love their texture and weathered colors. And I much appreciate both their reality and symbolism of years gone by. Hats off to all those landowners who preserve these gorgeous little gems.
