Artwork Description
I grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and just to the north of town was Hiawatha Park that we liked to visit in the summer and fall. My favourite part of the park was Hiawatha Falls and it was the first subject painted when I started oil painting at 12 years old. My sister and I went back for a high school reunion and visited the park again and came away with this shot of the falls in early October. It brings back fond memories of my childhood.
