Artwork Description
Mothers of the Soysambu pride, Flir and Valentine arrived at Soysambu because they were seeking an ideal habitat to raise their cubs. It seemed like an endorsement of the work we have been doing to preserve the natural biodiversity in this extraordinary place. It also brought a set of challenges that we have been working to overcome for the last three years. It has given me a strong direction, and I wanted to commemorate my appreciation with this portrait, which is my submission for the annual Artists for Conservation show in Vancouver, BC.
