Artwork Description
This variety was developed by Mr. Itoh. He spent a huge number of years before he was successful. It’s a cross between a tree Peony and a Herbaceous Peony. I think it’s an absolutely gorgeous plant and I’m so happy to watch it bloom each year. I finally decided it shouldn’t only be admired blooming in my garden, but should also make its way to a canvas. Thus, this painting.
