Artwork Description
Cascade Mountain is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Banff National Park. It towers over the city and is often photographed from the main street. For quit some time I knew I wanted to paint it, but am more attracted to the idea of wild places so I set out to find my own view of Cascade. After an morning of bush wacking my way up the Bow River, I found a clam part of the river with the perfect view of Cascade Mountain. I got my sketch and a few photos and a few soakers. I then headed home to start painting and dry my socks.
