Artwork Description
“A former abandoned onion dome church in Lamont County, this beauty sat on the corner of RR 171 and TW 560 for many years, But like so many of the prairie beacons of the past, this little church no longer sits on its elevated plot. First the train stations were torn down, and then the grain elevators and the water towers, and sadly some old churches fell victim to the same fate—-disuse, costly repairs and vandalism. However the good news is that many of these historic churches are still maintained and still functioning as a vital part of the religious and cultural framework of their communities.”
