Artwork Description
“About 30 miles south of my home & studio in Nineveh, Indiana, is beautiful “Yellow Wood Lake” in the Yellow Wood State Forest. Below the lake dam is a trail that loops around connecting on back to the highway 46 between Nashville & Bloomington Indiana. I enjoy painting here because the trail is reminiscent of how most of the back roads were in this area when I was a kid, back in the 1940’s, unimproved, and having fords crossing the streams instead of bridges. These little forgotten trails are what I enjoy most when it comes to finding a good hide out to paint.”
