“This painting was inspired by a trip to Alaska and an eagle I saw just outside of Skagway patrolling the coast. The day was very overcast and the mountain side was shrouded in mist. The inspiration came from the deep purples of the misty cloud cover and the contrast of colour between those purples and the white of the eagles head.”
