The Last
Water Hole
In this painting, a
bull elephant has come to the last water hole. It is very difficult on
the grazing animals because the big predators, such as leopards and lions,
are usually waiting in ambush at the water's edge. This bull elephant
may have temporarily scattered the predators, affording the grazing prey a
quick chance to drink.
